Abiba Mohammed MSW, RSW
I am a trauma‑informed counsellor and Registered Social Worker in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I have a BSW with Sociology from the University of Ghana, an MPhil in Humanities, and an MSW from Memorial University of Newfoundland.
I have had the privilege of supporting youth, adults, older adults, military families, and individuals navigating mental health challenges and significant life transitions. My approach integrates evidence‑based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution‑Focused Therapy, and Psycho‑Educational counselling.
Grounded in anti‑oppressive values and a deep respect for each person’s lived experience, I offer a culturally attuned, relational space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered. I blend structured therapeutic tools with compassion to support clients.
My goal is to support you as you rebuild and reclaim your path forward with clarity, confidence, and compassion.
